Termite Barriers & Baiting Melbourne | 24/7 Service
Long-term protection built for your block – a full perimeter chemical barrier with an 8-year warranty, or an in-ground baiting system where trenching is not practical. From $1,400.
What You Actually Get
The purpose of a termite management system is not to make your house impenetrable. It is to make sure termites cannot get in unseen. A chemical barrier does that by treating a continuous band of soil around the building so anything crossing it picks up a dose; the critical word is continuous, because a gap is an unguarded entry point.
Baiting works differently. Cellulose stations go into the ground around the perimeter to be found and fed on, and the slow-acting bait travels back through the colony. Baiting does not create a barrier – termites can still reach the building – but it is often the best way to kill a colony whose nest cannot be located, and it suits properties where paving, decking or soil type make trenching impractical.

What moves the number: perimeter length, slab versus stumps, access under the house, how far the damage has already gone, and whether concrete has to be drilled. Annual protection plans from $250. Nothing proceeds without your written approval.
From Your Call To Your Warranty
The order matters. Protection installed before the live colony is dealt with just pushes the termites somewhere else on the property.
Tell Us What You Have Seen
Describe it as plainly as you can – where it is, what it looks like, how long it has been there. We can often tell you over the phone whether it is termites, ants or old damage, and how fast you need us.
Full Property Inspection
Interior, roof void, subfloor, perimeter, fences and garden timbers, using thermal imaging, Termatrac radar, moisture meters and sounding. We collect soldiers so the species is identified properly.
Written Report And Clear Quote
You get the photographed report and a clear quote, with the options explained plainly — including where doing nothing is a reasonable choice.
Kill The Colony First
Live workings are dusted or foamed so the workers carry the product back and groom it through the colony. No spraying, no disturbing the runs.
Install The Protection
Once the colony is down, a full chemical barrier or a baiting system goes in, and you receive a written record of exactly what was installed and where.
Come Back And Check
Termites are not a one-visit problem. We re-inspect, replenish stations and keep your warranty valid — annual inspection is standard industry guidance.
Eight Years On The Barrier. Five Percent Off Any Written Quote.
Every full chemical barrier we install carries an 8-year product warranty, backed in writing and supported by a written record of exactly what was installed. Keep the annual inspection up and the warranty stays live.
If you have a written, like-for-like quote from another licensed Melbourne termite company, we will beat it by 5%. Same scope, same product, same warranty — just less money.
Warranty covers the treated barrier and applies while annual inspections are maintained. Price-beat applies to written quotes from licensed Victorian operators for equivalent scope.Questions About Barriers & Baiting
Not sure whether what you are looking at is termites? Describe it when you call and we will tell you straight, at no charge.
Barrier or baiting – which is better?
Neither is universally better. A barrier gives continuous protection and an 8-year warranty and is the usual choice where the perimeter can be trenched. Baiting is better where the nest cannot be located, or where paving, decking, soil conditions or slab design make a continuous barrier impractical. We recommend based on your property, and explain why.
How long does a chemical barrier last?
The product warranty is 8 years, maintained by annual inspection. Physical disturbance is what usually ends a barrier early – new landscaping, a garden bed built up against the wall, or a trench dug for plumbing. Tell us before you do that work.
Do you have to drill my concrete?
Where a path, driveway or slab edge meets the house, yes – the treated band has to be continuous to work. Holes are small, patched afterwards, and the extent is priced in writing before we start.
Is it safe around children and pets?
The products go into soil and cavities rather than living areas, and are applied by a licensed technician at label rates. We will tell you which areas to keep clear and for how long.
Can I install a barrier without treating the live colony first?
You can, but you should not. A barrier around an active infestation tends to relocate the problem rather than solve it. Colony control comes first, protection second.
Termite Inspections Across Melbourne
We cover metropolitan Melbourne and the outer suburbs. The eastern and north-eastern foothills — Eltham, Warrandyte, Diamond Creek, Lilydale — carry higher risk because of the surrounding eucalypt bushland and the Porotermes activity through those dry foothills. If your suburb is not listed, call anyway.
